QUALIFICATION PHASE 2026

Competition Dates

       Round 1                 Sunday, 1 February

       Round 2                 Sunday, 8 February

       Round 3                 Sunday, 15 February

The Qualification Phase will now be a permanent component of the IFA Competition Calendar from 2026 onward.

​

This phase will determine Division seedings for the upcoming Winter Season competition each year.

This format change will require academies to enter teams with players that will be consistent across Terms 1, 2 & 3 with Term 1 being the Qualification Phase and Terms 2 & 3 being the Division Phase.

Preliminary Team Numbers Due: Thursday, 18 December

Final Team Numbers Due: Thursday, 8 January

*Due to the unavailability of Wanderers Football Park during the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup, Qualification Phase for 2026 will consist of 3 rounds. As a result, Winter and Summer Season rounds have been extended*
